i'm quite embarrassed to admit that when it comes to coffee and beer my proclivities have beet pretty bourgeois.

It is bad to like good beer and coffee?
The relatively prohibitive prices are the problem

For beer and coffee?  Just what are your proclivities?

For beer, at least you can learn to brew your own.

Well, if you just pop a cheap extract, sure.

But to do all grain is often expensive.

What are you drinking these days? Oil from Sarepta of Sidon?

Holy oil you only drink when your friends poison your coffee. It worked for Nektarios the Vlach, anyway.

Time for a random fact:

The last pope to have a beard, was, appearently, Pope Innocent XII, who was head of the Roman Catholic Church from 1691 to 1700.

It's really huge. The conflict between the liberal and conservative fractions of the church have escalated, since seven conservative priests decided to call for a boycott against bishops and priests who want to marry homosexuals. In return, the bishops have accused the priests of donatism and people are yelling "heretics" and "sectarians" at each other.
