Oh lol, the biggest Dutch-languaged Christian forum wants me as a mod. The amount of flattering they used to get me on board made me laugh for minutes.

Can you give me a link?

A key to understanding my posts in 99.9% of the threads here (and elsewhere) is that my grandfather, a newspaperman of the old school, taught me to look closely at, and really try to understand, all sides of an argument, before making up my mind.

So sometimes I may seem to be arguing in favor of a viewpoint that I don't really share, simply because doing so often helps me to understand what I really think.

Also, I'm probably a contrarian at heart.

I'm assuming you are referring to my previous posts in another thread.  First, I am not chrismated yet.  Second, I was instructed by my priest to do so.  It wasn't my idea to continue receiving.  Smiley

Cyrillic is not even a catechumen yet and modding a forum is not communing.

Whose idea it was doesn't make it not ironic.

If your priest tell you something, listen to him and not to anyone here. My priest has dragged it further, he told me to get completely off the internet (has not managed that part completely yet).

First it was a harmless joke, hence the emoticon.

Second, that isn't irony.  I think you are looking for the word hypocritical, not ironic.

The thought of a retreat for a week or more, I really pray for it to happen. Just getting away, being in a quiet place, observe, learn and
hopefully grow on the experience. Letters are soon going out.

I do not need summer, autumn or snow. I only wish for this to happen.

Just hoping that I will be able to pray the prayers in memory for my mum today on her grave in a dignifying way.
So many years, but the pain is still so near.

She should and could have been 60 today. No words can describe how this feels.
But O mayflower, you are in my heart and will always be with me.

Is it bad that I always forget the Feast Days of the Church and don't do anything on them, but I always remember the birthdays and death dates of my favorite rappers and listen to one of their albums to honor them?

I had to look up Big L since I'd never heard of him. Strangely enough, he and 50 Cent were shot the same number of times.

When I was at a writers' conference and one of the guys there had a manuscript about the apple from Snow White triggering a zombie apocalypse. I feel like if it ever gets published or discovered, it will be perceived as the most stereotypically early teens thing ever.

When I was at a writers' conference and one of the guys there had a manuscript about the apple from Snow White triggering a zombie apocalypse. I feel like if it ever gets published or discovered, it will be perceived as the most stereotypically early teens thing ever.

That sad this is he probably wrote it 10 years ago and it was the most innovative thing ever.

Either that or he should not be a writer because he has no creativity whatsoever.

I'm not sure how long he'd been working on it. Certainly zombies and gritty reboots of fairy tales have been around for a while, but they did happen to go mainstream around the same time. Combining them seems like unique enough of a twist I guess. From the excerpt I heard, the dude wasn't a bad writer. He kept things intriguing and never totally lost sight of the premise's absurdity.

Sounds like hell.

Which I guess is quite artistly, performing rather than telling.

The Heat are not giving away their A game tactics. Wait for the four game championship sweep.
