I would recommend a cat.

I'm highly allergic to felines, unfortunately.

You could get a hairless. What about a Donskoy?

That cat is scary.

Alcohol is boring. I'd rather smoke. To be honest, if I could, I'd rather smoke marijuana, since it's the most harmless out of the bad habits. However, it has a strong social stigma attached to it and doesn't carry the classy, sophisticated reputation that whiskey or cigars have Sad

A conversation with my best friend:

*out of the blue he starts this conversation*

"Ah, yes, Orthodoxy - you know about it?"

"Yes, I'm going to convert to it."

"Dude, what?! I'm going to die of laughter once you find the Lord."

"Future tense? Oh well..."

"You would be, like, the greatest hypocrite on earth"

Oh well

You speak in English to your best friend? If not, can you write what was said in whatever forsaken tongue you use and why you chose to render that into English using the bolded word above?

Thanks.

The word was nou and is only used colloquially. It is comparable to the French word alors and the word 'like' is often quite comparable to those words.
