I got a little homegrown remedy if you know what I mean.

Well, not really. But you're in the Southwest, it can't be too hard to find.

So I am watching a video of the Triumph of Orthodoxy in Russia and suddently, they cut to a scene, showing this lonely catholic cardinal, looking completely lost while trying to figure out whether he should cross himself or not. I felt sorry for him.

Garbage food is like that.

Get away from it for a while and it tastes like what it is.

Give a solid week and you'll believe it is tasty again.

Blasphemy. Wendy's is the GREATEST fastfood chain there is. McDonalds is garbage. Wendy's is the best though. Their chicken nuggets and Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers are virtually unmatched. Plus, it's cheap. It's the only fastfood place that can feed my entire family for only $20.

Because of Lent, and not having the time to go out, I've actually enjoyed eating little meals from home the past few days. Had a peanut butter sandwich. It was all right. Noodles the other day. Not so bad, either. Kind of a breath of fresh air, food-wise.

I googled the above internet play on the German language and I came across a rather tasteless version, but one which one cannot think as an English speaker when living in Southern Germany and much more Austria:

I would wager I saw this very sign nearly everyday for some years. And it never struck me as not completely insane. Especially given the absolute lack of Jews in the area.

Chilling.

But why were you called the Jew?

It's a funny story, actually. We had a school project and my group was supposed to make a slideshow about the Viking Age. Some friends of my family spent much of their spare time, going to viking markets, so they had a bunch of thing which I thought might be good to add some entertainment to the presentation. The viking clothes, they had given me included a farmer's hat which happened to look like a yarmulke.

These days, I'm called a gypsy. That's what you get for sharing your family history.
