Guys I absolutely love her. She drives me insane. What do I do? I can't stop thinking about her. She's all that's on my mind and I can't take my eyes off of her at Church. I wanna marry her!!! What do I do? If I don't handle this soon then one day I am going to end up doing something really stupid and embarrassing--like hitting on her or blurting out "I love you!!!111" in front of everyone and estranging myself from my Church forever Sad

Take a cold shower.  It's sort of like spraying a dog with a water hose.

Maybe think more about her at middle age. He will be in his earlier 30s, and she will be almost menopausal with graying hair and sagging boobs and butt.

As long as we are on the topic, is it normal that I at 29 am attracted to guys sometimes up to early 40s?

Are they rich or are they looking for one last fling (with or without Viagra)?

Stop posting every thought or feeling you are uncomfortable with around here for starters.

Realize that infatuation is NBD. Everyone has had it (I hope). If you are worried about the outcome of you while understandable yet misguided desires, you will probably be fine.

Rich, well, compared to me. Fling, usually not people I have met in person. Such a person would still be closer in age to me than to my dad.  Someone closer to my dad's age, unless they are like the guy in my avatar, might be built like my dad. *holds back gag reflex at thought of middle aged bodied man in that context*

This is actually really good advice. There is something to be said for developing skills at holding back.  It should carry over into other contexts, like seeing her at church and not saying embarrassing things.

It ain't gonna work out, but that's ok. Admit to yourself that it won't happen. Revel in the pain. Bask in the glow of unrequited love infatuation. Think longingly about her. Write in a diary about her, comparing her to other women. Eventually it will get old and you will move on.

Don't worry, she's flattered that you like her, even though she may not know. She doesn't need to know. Or something. Go for it! (and by "it" I mean admitting to yourself that it was not meant to be. Maybe if you were 22 and she 34... but alas, you are like two dinghies passing each other in the currents of love... watch those shoals! they can be treacherous!)

Actually, I am enjoying it. This brings me back so many years ago on my first infatuation.

Let's not make this into a marrying the first girlfriend you get though.

So, I was cycling around town at 2:00 AM and was continually mumbling the Jesus prayer and then I heard "Hello, hello" from out of my pocket. It seems I accidently called one of my teachers. I hope my mumbling was soft enough for her not to hear. The phone was in a wool sock so I could be lucky.

As long as we are on the topic, is it normal that I at 29 am attracted to guys sometimes up to early 40s?

Are they rich or are they looking for one last fling (with or without Viagra)?

I fell sorry for you all the sudden.

Ah, 29, where has the time gone.

You keep your phone in a wool sock?

A lot of people do that, though this might not be apparent to somebody who lives in the middle of nowhere.  Tongue

No, I VISIT the middle of nowhere...never again shall I subject myself to living there.

Anyways, I realized I need a hobby: it is now your (that is, all who read this post) task to suggest hobbies.
Write comedy, write a blog for money, write a novel, write a research book, perform your standup comedy routines, learn (more?) calculus, learn a language, learn an instrument, learn drumming with household equipment, master the art of the paper airplane, learn French cooking, learn African/Italian/Arab cooking, learn dancing, exercise, watch sports, learn to play sports, study physics, build a wood table, whittle Christmas gifts for next year, build a kitchen stool, paint, watercolor, create a light-flashing magnetic field machine that makes something visible in the environment (knowledge of physics may help), perform scientific experiments on yourself or a colony of bugs, go ice skating, garden...

Green Day is the greatest Punk band in the world. Know why? Because saying "Green Day is the greatest Punk band in the world." infuriates music snobs, and nothing is more punk than that.

When I hear the word "punk," I tend to think of it in the same sense Clint Eastwood does in his Dirty Harry movies.

You should of heard my tirade when Armstrong stormed off that corporate gig awhile ago and then checked into rehab. He looked like a complete fool.

My mother bought a shake weight for Christmas. My girlfriend said she also wanted one. I tried to explain why it wouldn't do what they thought it would do, but to no avail. *shakes head*
