I will support the North Korean invasion of the USA if they promise to ban football. I'll gladly spend years eating bark off trees just to see the melancholy in the faces of football fans.
Handegg or real football? Handegg, but come to think of it, ban everything with a ball and force everyone to play badminton. I can't stand badminton. It makes me dizzy. It isn't as bad as volleyball though. Bite your toungue! Badminton and Volleyball are the greatest games ever invented. Of course, being a Malayalee might colour my judgement some.

We cannot legislate morality by passing laws controlling firearms. The only evil we can combat lies within our hearts. We need stronger laws to protect the moral foundation of society against the evil of gay marriage.

As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. I'm like 90% sure there are canons expressly forbidding bears to go into monasteries. You should call up a bishop. I'm also pretty sure bears can't cry, unless you're talking about Chicago Bears or certain sorts of gay guys. And even then, I don't think they're supposed to.
Anyway, the new Man of Steel trailer is really really awesome and July 25 can't happen fast enough.

All Gaul is divided into three parts, one of which the Belgae inhabit, the Aquitani another, those who in their own language are called Celts, in our Gauls, the third. All these differ from each other in language, customs and laws. The river Garonne separates the Gauls from the Aquitani; the Marne and the Seine separate them from the Belgae. Of all these, the Belgae are the bravest, because they are furthest from the civilization and refinement of [our] Province, and merchants least frequently resort to them, and import those things which tend to effeminate the mind; and they are the nearest to the Germans, who dwell beyond the Rhine , with whom they are continually waging war

Surely you remember "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears!" Of course. "Friends, ________, and countrymen, etc." is a wonderful way of getting a large crowd's attention (if you are predisposed to start public speeches in outlandish ways).

Is this offered as a translation of something you posted in Latin earlier on this thread?

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more. A hasty quarrel kindles fire, and urgent strife sheds blood. If you blow on a spark, it will glow; if you spit on it, it will be put out; and both come out of your mouth

This is a hilarious facebook page making fun of Dunglish (Dutch English). And yes, most Dutch people really do speak English like that. It's Dutch translated literally into English. Unless things have radically changed over your lifetime (I was in the Netherlands last before you were born, and in Flanders when you were a mere babe), you sell yourselves short. Most Dutch (and Flemish) spoke English fine, some without even an accent. But maybe you are talking about those I spoke Dutch with.

Is this offered as a translation of something you posted in Latin earlier on this thread?Yes. Would you do me a favor, then? I'm asking this in green, so consider this the formal request of a moderator. If a moderator asks for you to provide an English translation of something you post in a foreign language, please connect the translation to the original--for instance, by providing both in the same post or stating clearly what you're translating. I couldn't tell for certain if you were actually providing a translation or merely adding something new to the thread. As it stands now, I still don't know which post you translated, if you translated only one, or what Latin statement you translated.
