Can someone honestly explain why the Beatles music is so expensive? 200 dollars for the mono boxset? That's absurd.

EDIT: Pulled in all nighter, didn't have much interest to sleep. 3 more hours before going to Church. I did the Cyrillic thing and drank a ton of Coke.

I don't know. Really good box sets can cost a chunk of money, it's true. I've been trying to buy some old ones online, let me tell you...  Undecided

I love the church —her standards,
her silver vessels, her candelabras,
her lights, her icons, her pulpit.

When I enter the Greek church:
with the fragrance of the incense,
with the liturgic chants,
with the majestic presences of the priests
and the solemn rhythm of all their movements—
they are magnificently robed in the holy vestments—
my thoughts go back to a great splendour of our race,
to our glorious Byzantine age.

- Constantine Cavafy, In Church (trans. George Valassopoulo)

Oh my.

I totally forgot about the music reviews I posted on Amazon.com I did back in 2006 when I was a senior in high school.

One of the albums I reviewed was excellent and then my one on Sgt Pepper really sucked. Doesn't tell you anything about the music itself.

I don't really know why, but I like the new avatar Achronos has put up.  Must be the green lipstick.

I tried watching No Country For Old Men tonight, but then I got bored and listened to the Roots.

You probably like the color green because that is the color of money.

Put your money where your mouth is.

No Country is a pretty good film but definitely falls into the Sunday afternoon genre.

Well I might start doing a weekly roundup of noteworthy Political things in the Politics forum. I have a few great links already, I think I will post them tonight or tomorrow.

One of them discussing low wages and the increase in these jobs over time has caused median wage to drop.

Please no. I asked for my access to the politics section to be taken away several months ago. Since then my psychiatric meds dosages have been cut in half and my hospital visits due to suicidal episodes have decreased by 42%. I can't go through a set back right now.
