LOL. Now I'm unable to visit Norway before I shorten my hair and get rid of Finnish accent. I wonder where's the nearest niqab store.
Pirka is everyone's favourite. Anything less than long hair, heavy accent, drunken, womanising, and unlicensed cab driving would be very disappointing.

Correct. It's not Greek, it's Finnish. Oh my, I am having doubts about my faith. Don't worry. Since Finland is a Scandinavian country, you have nothing to worry about. Nordic, yes. But not Scandinavian. Everyone forgets about the Faroes. Don't worry, I'm aware of them.

There is one thing I cannot stand more than anything, which is a lie against me.
I seriously consider it to be a crime, lies in general.
It's disgusting. It just ruined a working relationship because that other person believed a lie about me.

Cultural ignorance here. What's the issue of Finland with the other countries?
Finland is Nordic, but they are not Scandinavian. Scandinavia is a historical cultural-linguistic region in Northern Europe characterized by a common ethno-cultural Germanic heritage and related languages that includes the three kingdoms of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The terms Scandinavia and Scandinavian entered usage in the 18th century as terms for the three Scandinavian countries, their peoples and associated language and culture, being introduced by the early linguistic and cultural Scandinavist movement. The Nordic countries make up a region in Northern Europe and the North Atlantic which consists of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and their associated territories, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland. The region's five nation-states and three autonomous regions share much common history as well as common traits in their respective societies, such as political systems and the Nordic model.

The terms Scandinavia and Scandinavian entered usage in the 18th century as terms for the three Scandinavian countries, their peoples and associated language and culture, being introduced by the early linguistic and cultural Scandinavist movement.
IIRC most of the people that are nowadays called as Finns were subjects to Swedish crown in those days. Furthermore, Finnish Nationalist movement was born in 19th century so Scandinavism is older than Finland. We were Swedes (or Russians if one happened to live in Karelia) in 18th century. Therefore we are Scandinavians. Or at least some mongolian sub-human slave race of Swedes'

I don't claim to be nor I claim Finns to be Swedes. I claim that most of the people that are nowadays called as Finns were Swedes in 18th century before Finland was invented. But I'm not offended even if you believe otherwise. I believe there is hardly right or wrong answers in these kind of historical questions since IMO our present national identities are anachronisms anyway. It's fun to debate about this though. Don't worry Alpo, you will always be a scandinavian in my eyes. Thanks, Ansgar. At least some of you vikings have some decency.

*sigh* I'm heartbroken. I was reading some wise words from Elder Prophyrios (sp?) and he said that you should treat everyone around you as if they were Christ and imagine that they are so that you will treat them correctly.
I applied this to my situation with the girl. She's happy where she is right now, without me. Were I to re-enter into her life I might end her happiness. And I want her to be happy. I would want Christ to stay happy, even if it meant me feeling pain
*cries*

Western and Central Finland has had it's first snowfall! Lappland have probably had it's first snow even before this. Unfortunately the everything my neighbourhood has is some frost. I want winter too!

But I love Finland, I just think their language more than anything, keeps them from joining the club.
