Well there's this one time I ended up in Sri Lanka thanks to a ball of twine and a canary.... but that's for another day.

An image of you tied with twine being carried by a canary to Sri Lanka just popped in my head.

It's funny how that worked out... I tied the canary up, and then this swallow came and carried us both... if it wasn't for my horse...

are you looking for average airspeed velocity, or instantaneous at a particular point?

Well it would be interesting to see how the velocity shifted due to weather currents and watchamacallums (yup), but I SUPPOSE average would suffice.

Of course, are we talking African or European swallows here?

I actually had cross-bread an african with a european, and then used the new breed.  As for average, do you want the headwind taken into account?

A cross-breed?  FASCINATING...though I think that might now make you a wanted criminal amoungst the swallow conservatives.

Head-wind?  No.  I plan on flying in all sorts of weather -- just need the bare number and I'll adjust from there.

There will be no "bare" numbers here... this is a forum open to kids under 18!

Would this be the horse that you were joking was really smelly before?

And does this warning conform to standards set down by the FDA?

Well, now that you're not on the horse anymore and the stench still remains -- I'm going to have to retract my smelly horse comment, apologize to the good Mr. Ed, and correct my statement to say "GEORGE is the smelly one".

Of course it doesn't meet FDA regulations -- who needs those????

All those involved in horse-feeding must meet FDA standards.

Why use the shoutbox, when you have the Random Postings thread.... At least here, the posts don't get deleted after a predetermined period of time...

That's true, but the shoutbox is much more immediate and always (used to be) available.  Besides, with the length limit it kind of forces people to be short and to the point, unlike most other times... :)

Oh, and you don't like overly verbose responses to relatively simple statements such as the one you just made, which seem to carry on for extended periods of time and apparently have no real point except to make the poster look smarter than s/he really is and to eat up some time and space in cyberspace, while concurrently boosting their post count and amount of sheer verbage that exists to their attribution on the 'net?

I am also a man who claims to be off the meter when it comes to the Funk.  Remember, I'm not going to say I started a cultural phenomenon.... but I did.
