Congrats on the grades, though! Noyce.
I'll bet that Noyce got good grades, too. He (Robert Noyce) must have been a brilliant man to invent the microchip that made the personal computer possible and to found the company that is now my employer. Grin

We had our Christmas pageant after church today. The kids were so cute! They sang a ton of carols and were dressed as all the characters from the Scripture. They had a baby doll stand in for Jesus.  Smiley Some of the costumes were falling off, there was a lot of fidgeting and one kid decided he was going to be the loudest person in the building on every single song. I loved it. laugh

No camera, sorry.

So a friend unexpectadly announced that she would be driving up from the South to visit today, and would it be okay if she stayed a few days. I agreed without question. Friend gets lost on the way, it takes 4 hours to find her and bring her to my place.

(No, just stay where you are and I will come get you... No! Stop driving! Please, just. stay. where. you. are.... bang head against windshield...)

Finally get everyone home at 3 AM, and what pops out of my friend's vehicle? Her new puppy.

I just got the carpets cleaned on Friday, and am highly allergic to dogs.

It's gonna be a great week.

I have actually had to explain this three times today:

Kim Jong-Il was the leader of North Korea, and has passed away. We should pray for him.

Lil Kim is a rap artist and is alive and well. To my best knowledge, she had neither ruled a county nor had control over any weapons of mass destruction. However, you can still feel free to pray for her if you wish to.

Bwaha. I've seen a collection of Tweets of people confusing the two. Were you responding to random folks online or did people actually initiate conversations with you about Lil Kim's death?

To clarify, neither do I. Twitter sucks. Somebody at another forum linked to this, which amused me and confirmed my suspicion that Twitter sucks.

The latter. Some of my former parishioners were concerned.  I didn't know that there were apparently a significant minority of people who confused Kim Jong Il and Lil Kim until my third call and then did my own google search.

Because it doesn't matter that I have school in the morning and that I have a chance to get some decent shuteye. Explaining why the Birthright and New 52 versions of Superman are superior to what Byrne did is just that freaking important.

Man, the squirrels have been getting fat the last couple of weeks.

When I worked in Connecticut, there was a little stand of woods behind the office building, and on break time I used to watch the squirrels. There were some really interesting colors, too- jet black, white with spots, brown and black, all kinds. It was obviously a healthy little colony there. Wish I still had pictures. They were cute.  Smiley

I don't have a Twitter so I didn't hear about this mix-up.
To clarify, neither do I. Twitter sucks. Somebody at another forum linked to this, which amused me and confirmed my suspicion that Twitter sucks.

Twitter is awesome

What dont we agree on??

let us start with somehting easier. what DO we agree on? :p

Orthodoxy is the true faith, Rugby Union is better than League...

Celtic, hanging out with you (virtually) makes me so much more at peace with my adoption of everything Japanese.

To the denizens who want more from me than a well timed quip in a ridiculous thread on this board.

Best of luck.

Hope to have proper xmas greetings and all that finished before the old calendar xmas is over.

But I would love to play in Oz or even NZ.

I second it!

My last night of work before the holiday. You guys have no idea how excited I am. My wrists are even more excited. Of course getting off the computer when I'm not working would help, but that requires an iron will that I don't possess..
