Hey All, I've got court tomorrow morning for a traffic ticket that could potentially mess up my financial state. It wouldn't be a big deal usually, but with Christmas coming up I would really like to have the cash to be with my family during the holiday. It could also, depending on the judge, land me in county lockup for a couple days (all this for an unpaid speeding ticket & getting caught on my way to the DMV to get it unsuspended (in VA you have to pay the county AND the DMV, quite the little deal they've got set up there)). Fairfax County judges are reputed to be rather mean, and while I don't mind admiting that I did wrong, (I was gambling that between the 2 miles between work & the DMV would be cop free), I don't particularly want to spend my weekend in a orange jumpsuit, or not being able to see/get gifts for my family this Christmas. Anyway, if you have time, say a little prayer for me tomorrow morning. Thanks.

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

OK, so i was there for 3+ hours, but all I can say is thank God for sleazy lawyers, and the lawyers that owe the sleazy lawyers favors. :-D Because I was polite, nice & honest (cop's own words) the officer and the prosecuter didn't object to having the charge reduced to a "operating without a license" and a $50 fine. Thanks for all your prayers, I'm sure they went a long way. :-)

I know of Fairfax County and nearby Loudoun County (I have my own ticket stories there). I'll pray for you.

Retroactive prayer just isn't as cool a concept when you know the results already

Retroactive prayer just isn't as cool a concept when you know the results already Ah, I see. I just clicked on related threads to another prayer thread and said I'd pray. Perhaps God foresaw my future prayer and acted on it.

Glory to God! I knew former colleagues caught going 100+ in Fairfax Co. and lost their licenses for up to 6 months. Their mothers had to drive them to work and back. Please try to drive carefully in the future. Amen!
