So, is this a semi-annual thing? It seems to pop up around twice a year. I think I've taken it 3 times now, with the first two being the same as cleveland's answer.

Yeah, and I think it has as much validity as a Cosmopolitan sex quiz.

Actually, the first time I took it (maybe 4 or 5 months ago, can't remember) I think my 3-5 were scrambled... But hey, I was bored, there was the link... why not lose 10 minutes into the abyss?

Myabe with me too, but it is irrelevant as long as #'s1 and 2 are there and with EO first.

Some quick questions: How can you score 100% on both RC and EO is their differing beliefs caused the Great Schism? And how can you be more than 100% total?

God gave us medical treatments, we shouldn't waste them. If we can have a tumor removed or a cancer shrunk, I do not think there is any reason not to use it. Of course, praying is key in our lives, if we're sick or not.

I've taken this quiz a few times over the past 3 years, and always got 100% Eastern Orthodox. That is probably because I generally just answered the questions correctly according to an Orthodox perspective. And I surely believed those answers, to a great degree, when I answered as I did. I wondered how I would come out now, and was quite suprised! 1. Bahá'àFaith (100%) 2. Orthodox Judaism (96%) 3. Reform Judaism (95%) 4. Sikhism (95%) 5. Jainism (92%) 6. Hinduism (90%) 7. Islam (90%) 8. Liberal Quakers (78%) 9. Mahayana Buddhism (76%) 10. Unitarian Universalism (75%) 11. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (72%) 12. Theravada Buddhism (67%) 13. Neo-Pagan (61%) 14. New Thought (55%) 15. New Age (52%) 16. Eastern Orthodox (52%) 17. Roman Catholic (52%) 18. Seventh Day Adventist (50%) 19. Orthodox Quaker (47%) 20. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (46%) 21. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (45%) 22. Scientology (42%) 23. Jehovah's Witness (40%) 24. Taoism (33%) 25. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (31%) 26. Secular Humanism (20%) 27. Nontheist (18%) EDIT -- I read over Wiki's article on Baha'i, and I have to admit that I can't see how I could be ranked so highly with it. Or Judaism for that matter. But I guess when you only have 20 questions and limited options, the results will be iffy

I was chrismated in 2001, and I've tried to be Christian for a long time now, but I just got to the point where I finally decided to stop being afraid and just let go. So I guess the answer to your question is, no, I'm not Orthodox.

The Belief-O-Matic quiz is hardly an indication of how Orthodox one is, infact I've taken the test deliberately using and limiting answers to a very shallow view of Orthodoxy or a technically incorrect (though popular) one and scored very high (100%) Orthodox...says someone who's actual Orthodox Score is generally in the 70's...I'm guessing it's either a test for simple minds, or they assume a notable level of ignorance amongst the Orthodox.

I would recommend everyone to answer as honestly as possible. Don't just provide the answer which you believe should be 'Orthodox', provide what you honestly believe in your conscience and heart. If the result is not '100% Orthodox', then so be it.
Peace.

I did answer mine honestly. If I honestly felt different, I wouldn't be looking to join the Orthodox Church. Instead, I would go where my beliefs matched.

This is what I got. Notice, I followed someone's advice on this and just answered the questions honestly. I wonder if being cradle Orthodox makes a difference on this? The questions seemed no-brainers for me, and I got 100% on Eastern Orthodox. hm...
1. Eastern Orthodox (100%) 2. Roman Catholic (100%) 3. Orthodox Quaker (90%) 4. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (82%) 5. Seventh Day Adventist (81%) 6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (78%) 7. Orthodox Judaism (64%) 8. Liberal Quakers (63%) 9. Hinduism (60%) 10. Islam (55%) 11. Unitarian Universalism (51%) 12. Sikhism (48%) 13. Grace and Peace be with you all, I guess I'm the only one answering this quiz without a cheat sheet.   1.  Orthodox Quaker (100%)  2.  Eastern Orthodox (99%)  3.  Roman Catholic (99%)  I'm Irish Catholic and it's saying I've got more in common with 'Orthodox Quakers'. It most have been my stand of 'non-violence' which through me over the top with them. eek! I'm a peace-nik!

Did they have pre-packaged oatmeal in 19th century Russia? Is outrage! Well probably not, but I'm sure they had it in 14th century Greece Anyways, I said oatmeal eaters in general, not pre packaged oatmeal eaters. Though, are there any other kinds?

Well, after someone complaining about only getting a 99% Orthodox/RC I thought I'd post my results, I have avoided doing so in the past because of how shallow the questions are, and their gross ignorance of the details and technicalities of these various faiths, as demonstrated through some of there rakings, but just for fun here's mine:
1.  Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%)  2.  Orthodox Quaker (88%)  3.  Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (81%)  4.  Hinduism (77%)  5.  Liberal Quakers (76%)  6.  Unitarian Universalism (76%)  7.  Eastern Orthodox (75%)  8.  Roman Catholic (75%)  9.  Seventh Day Adventist (74%)  10.  Bahα'ν Faith (59%)  11.  Sikhism (57%)  12.  Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (51%)  13.  Orthodox Judaism (51%)  14.  Mahayana Buddhism (51%)  15.  Reform Judaism (50%)  16.  Theravada Buddhism (50%)  17.  Islam (46%)  18.  New Thought (44%)  19.  Jainism (43%)  20.  Taoism (41%)  21.  Nontheist (40%)  22.  Scientology (40%)  23.  Secular Humanism (39%)  24.  Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (34%)  25.  Neo-Pagan (33%)  26.  New Age (33%)  27.  Jehovah's Witness (24%) ÂÂ
Usually my lowest ranking religion (#27) is still over 30%...but I guess this time as I marked high priority for the dogmatic issues (Trinity, Incarnation), my JW score dropped a bit further down.

Grace and Peace greekischristian, Well, God Bless you for being honest!!! I agree the questions are 'way' too shallow to be taken seriously. I'm not going to run off and join the Orthodox Quakers anytime soon but it does make me feel a bit closer to them. Peace and God Bless!!!
