The horror that something called "ordinary" would be used ordinarily.
Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

THE OPINIONS HERE MAY NOT REFLECT THE ACTUAL OR PERCEIVED ORTHODOX CHURCH

Take a breath, read Ecclesiastes 1:9.

I think Cardinal Burke is the head of the Knights of Malta now and he's pretty into the Tridentine mass.

Can't really blame anyone for believing the story though.  Nothing surprises me anymore.

Cardinal Burke was pretty suspended out of the Knights of Malta by Pope Francis, and replaced with a Pope Benedict appointee by the name of Giovanni Angelo Becciu.

It should also be said that the source where I got that from has been reputable insofar as reporting on attacks against the Trad Cat movement is concerned; but no more.

Oh, ok.  I thought Cardinal Burke was "demoted" to heading the Knights of Malta from his earlier more important position.  If he was then fired again from the Malta job, then the pope must really have it out for him.  :o

Hello

I use to be part of the Traditionalists Catholic community but left because of a run in with a Novus Ordo Catholic Nun who very offensive to me. The Novus Ordo Church has a very big dislike for Trad Roman Catholics it is because they don't like the Novus Ordo Mass. I will admit the feeling are mutual because I don't like the other side too. These two groups don't like one another at all. I think the Traditionalists Catholic community should join the Orthodox Christian Church and have their own faith community's within our Churches. Western Orthodox Christians Church would go a long way to restore the Orthodox Christian Church before the Catholic's broke away in 1054 AD.

I went to the Western Rite again on Sunday. I had not been in almost a year. I loved it. I realized it is ultimately where my heart, life and culture is. I will probably be ultimately deciding to stay with and be received into the Western Rite. As of today, I feel my life's call is to help restore (where necessary) but preserved and maintain the western rite for our patrimony and posterity. I love the Western Rite and I am grateful for the Orthodox movement to preserve and restore it.

Update: very strange, according to an EWTN reporter, even though the Communications Office of the Knights of Malta has confirmed that the letter isn't genuine,

this morning apparently, a correspondent for the Knights has confirmed that the letter is genuine.

Indeed, we need the Western Rite and the Western Rite needs us.

Are you enjoying ROCOR?  Are you going to a Byzantine or a Western Rite parish?  (ROCOR actually has three rites, counting the Church of the Nativity: Russian Old Rite, Post-Nikonian Russian-Byzantine, and Western).
