Does anyone have a mail delivered subscription to The National Herald? I'm trying to figure out about how long it takes to get it through the mail. I didn't want to pay $60/year if I'm going to get week old news.
Well, depends on which subscription you want... if you want the Greek daily, then I think you'll get each day about a day late... if you want the English weekends, then I think, depending on where you are, you'll get them between 1 and 3 days late. Of course, I say all this having never lived more than an 8 hour drive from NYC (where the paper is published).
Now whether or not the news is a week old will largely depend on how quickly the paper picks it up... sometimes stories regarding the GOA are actually ahead of time, since certain slimeball reporters talk to people with questionable intentions and get info from Constantinople, the Eparchial Synod (America), Holy Cross, and the various churches before they're released. But that's another issue altogether.
