Prophetic Ministry is Ready

Prophetic Ministry is Ready ...  ;)
For questions about the history of the Lutheran faith see the Book of Concord available from Pastor's office.

Formula of Concord 1577

A restatement of some teachings in the Augsburg Confession over which Lutherans had become divided. The Solid Declaration is the unabridged version. The Epitome is an abridged version intended for congregations to study. Over 8,100 pastors and theologians signed it, as well as over 50 government leaders.

I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

This is what comes to my mind, and I'm grateful for the shift:

(- Prophet, what's the new year going to be like?
- Worse than the last.
- Won't there be anything good about it?
- It will be better than the next one.)
'Evil isn't the real threat to the world. Stupid is just as destructive as evil, maybe more so, and it's a hell of a lot more common. What we really need is a crusade against stupid. That might actually make a difference.'~Harry Dresden

I think Benny Hinn bases his ministry off the Book of Acts in the New Testament.

The age of the prophets ended with St. John, when he wrote Revelation. So yes, we don't need you.

Prophetic gifts aren't around anymore?
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Who prophesizes?

Some elders have had such gifts.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Upon Orthodox baptism every Christian is called to be a prophet. Of course, it's important to remember that prophecy doesn't necessarily mean predicting the future. It means proclaiming the Faith and preaching the divine prophecies handed down through scripture and apostolic teaching. As for the OP, I am reminded of Gamaliel's advice in Acts:

"In the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone. Let them go! For if their purpose or endeavor is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.” [Acts 5:38-39]

Selam
"Whether it’s the guillotine, the hangman’s noose, or reciprocal endeavors of militaristic horror, radical evil will never be recompensed with radical punishment. The only answer, the only remedy, and the only truly effective response to radical evil is radical love."
