Narrow is the gate and difficult the way and few find it
« on: October 27, 2018, 12:35:02 AM »
Most people think they already know the way to heaven they only see one way just as a wide gate is easily visible they don’t see there is a narrow gate. But Jesus says there is one and to find it to enter it
If you find that gate it becomes possible to follow the difficult way. If you don’t like Jesus teachings you won’t even want to suffer at all to follow His teachings and obtain strength to do it.

Salvation seems impossible all the time for those who do not find the narrow gate. But with God all things are possible

Jesus didn’t require us to struggle to try to be without sin and believe in that for justification. It is impossible to be without sin. We can not earn the right for heaven for God sees our sins if we are doing works to be righteous and not just to be obedient which is still a must but it is by His righteousness and finding Him that we can even walk according to our will to be righteous and glory comes to Him in giving us the power to be righteous
Like fig leaves that Adam tried to use to cover his sin is not trusting in Christ

Do you follow a church just because people convince you it is true or you study diligently not to be deceived. The wide gate is convincing but it is not the way
Jesus said if you seek me diligently you will find me and that is the work that will lead to one being righteous. Strive to enter by the narrow gate

Therefore Jesus says to Peter on your faith the gates of hades will not prevail

https://www.gotquestions.org/I-am-the-door.html

You can not trust a man or priest to teach you the way to heaven but the bible

They then become thieves even if the way is in the church. I follow the church as I don’t know better and because the bible seems to have taught baptism confession communion  but it could be the gospel is for all

You can get baptised confess and take communion for spiritual growth but it can not replace seeking to know Christ also

One should follow the church if he believes it may be but seek the truth also if you can’t live righteous outside the church then you must join the church if you believe

These are just some thoughts I still may not know the way or be a long way from knowing

I am not the way the priest is not the way they can help but if they teach people not to seek Jesus they are thieves and robbers

How hard it is for a rich man to be saved. He means those who feel they can’t part with something from pride and ignorance of their nakedness and if a priest is not willing to lose his reputation. It makes sense for one to preach one believes he is the truth but they should be willing to seek and lose their reputation if they are convinced Protestants could or are also saved

The church is the truth but in these end times or for a few centuries it has departed from Jesus commandments

We should not have a form of godliness but deny the power of for it to make one righteous

Indeed have we really accepted the strangers who are Protestants ?
Have we sought to minister to them ? Or have we failed to minister to them because we didn’t seek the truth to find it ? It is strange there is even a chance for my salvation after not even wanting to deal with them at all. Maybe I should just confess the way to lessen my punishment in hell as my sins would be weighty

I am not saying the church is not true but it is for God to convince you and others but if they are not convincing biblically you should not listen to them

It is not for me to judge people in the church they may have also personal relationship with Jesus. They may not yet be convinced there is salvation outside the church but they may be saved. However they can be a stumbling block to those outside

The law must be kept but they are kept only by those who find the narrow gate

I prayed for God to give me the desire to hate heresy and the desire to make Him my Lord as He said ask and you shall receive. However I can not ask Him to take away the cross as He said we have to choose to deny ourselves daily but at least to have the desire

I shared this on Facebook a while ago unfortunately it is wrong God cares about keeping the law as He said I did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill. He came to give power to keep the law

https://www.beliefnet.com/ilovejesus/features/the-prodigal-son-12-things-you-didnt-know.aspx

Though I did show I acknowledged you have to keep the law as I shared the link with this explanation

I may have much to learn though I think this lesson is for people who trust only in their works and not God’s mercy. For the righteous is scarcely saved because he must also trust in God’s mercy. Billy graham teaches when we are born again our life is changed

Someone who truly knows he has Jesus will not look at pornography knowing the pornstars are living a life of sin heading to hell. Also they can die at any time and they may have to struggle hard to repent if they don’t die soon or if they do

If one does look he may be forgiven but he won’t be very helpful. But I don’t know if it is forgiven. Because Peter says those who are saved should have virtue like brotherly kindness and love
It is expected of those called earlier to work as in the parable of the workers but as Paul said yet not I work but the grace of God that was with me
But I guess some will be justified without much work to show if God deems them worthy to have the chance to repent
Perhaps you can be sure of salvation if you come today wiling to repent  of your sins only if you die today without chance to show more repentance but if you go back to sin you may not have the chance to repent

I follow a daily bible verse app not just a devotional and it is said

♰ Acts 4:12

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved

Acts 4:12

In the last two days we have looked at the seriousness of sin and at the urgent need for repentance. Unrepentant sin leads to an everlasting lake of fire.

But where is salvation found? It is not found even in our repentance or good works, because we could never be good enough to please a perfect God. It is not found in sincerity alone, because many religions and philosophies are sincere and yet diametrically opposed to each other. Where can salvation be found?

It is found only in the perfect person and work of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. By his perfect life, selfless and substitutionary death, and powerful resurrection Jesus proved himself to be what he claimed to be during his life -- the one, true God. Salvation is found in him alone because he alone is able and willing to save us from our sins.

Have you felt the weight of your sins? Have you been convinced of your inability to find any lasting joy, satisfaction, or forgiveness on your own? Then rush into the arms of the One in whom salvation is found. There is no other name under heaven, whereby we must be saved, than Jesus Christ. But that name is sufficient to wipe away every sin and to save us completely from our guilt and shame.

Because we think it gives spiritual growth but we should still seek the truth if it is in the bible and through prayer

Perhaps those who trust in Christ will not look often but if they fall sometimes they will be forgiven for God will give them power not to stay in sin long
