New MDiv being offered at Holy Trinity Seminary
« on: April 16, 2018, 02:55:51 PM »
Not Western Rite related, but a contact of mine at HTS asked for this to be posted:

Quote
This is the day the Lord has made; let us greatly rejoice and be glad therein.” (Psalms 117:24, LXX)

On this glorious day, I am delighted to announce that Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary in Jordanville, New York, will, by the grace of God the Holy Trinity and the approval of the New York State Board of Regents, begin a new Master of Divinity degree in Fall 2018.

Does this mean a new graduation, or did HTS always have MDiv, but now it's being offered a new turn?
"May the Lord our God remember in His kingdom all Holy Catholic Apostolic Church, which heralds the Word of Truth and fearlessly offers and distributes the Holy Oblation despite human deficiencies and persecutions moved by the powers of this world, in all time and unto the ages of ages."

May the Blessed Light shine Forth

Great news.  Let's hope that they move forward to also get their degree accredited by ATS (Association of Theological Schools) like St. Vladimir's & Holy Cross.

Does the ATS have higher standards than the State Board of Regents?
