History of Pentecostalism
« on: August 05, 2017, 06:25:18 PM »
Hey y'all,

Can any one recommend a book on the history of Pentecostalism?  I've got a few earmarked on Amazon, but was hoping someone had already read one or two they can recommend.

I grew up Assemblies of God and want to do some research on the roots of them.

Vision of the Disinherited: The Making of American Pentecostalism, by Robert Mapes Anderson is excellent. Academic but straightforward.
Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

Thanks, Agabus!  That's one of the one's I've earmarked.
