Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Very active on Facebook, but I'm not sure of their status.  Best to check with the archdiocese

If someone could validate the status of this monastery, that would be helpful for me, because if there is a genuine Syriac Orthodox monastery in North America, I would seriously consider a vocation there.

As it presently stands I'm considering the idea of attempting to organize a Syriac Orthodox Skete of sorts in the vicinity of, or perhaps on the grounds of, St. Anthony's Coptic monastery.  I would love to see more Syriac Christians join with their Coptic and Ethiopian brethren on pilgrimages to St. Anthony's; for that matter, I would love to see more Armenians.  I wish there were busloads of Syriac and Armenian pilgrims, just as their are busloads of Coptic and Ethiopian pilgrims.
