Stomach illness
« on: July 26, 2017, 01:12:42 AM »
For the past week or two Ive had some kind of horrible stomach flu where it feels like my sides are going to explode.   It has been intermittent but I nearly fainted after dinner this evening.  Going to see the doctor in the AM.   Please pray for me.

My Orthodox friends from Australia are visiting and we were going to go boating tomorrow, somplease pray this is something minor where they dont have to do an endoscopy or anything.  I hate being a bad host.  :(

Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thy frequent infirmities.

Thank you Luke.  Its quite bad, and I appreciate that.

The last time I had a stomach ache even approaching this, it was cured by the Eucharist.  I was afraid to approach the chalice because I was nauseated, and feared throwing it up, but instead I was delivered.

Lord, have mercy.

It's good that you're going to see a physician.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Is any of the above Orthodox?  I have no idea, so there’s that.

Lord, have mery.  Don't put too much of a burden on yourself about being a good host.  Stick to warm ginger ale and crackers, and see that doctor.
I'm with the camp of 13 million Americans that believe politicians are, or are controlled by, Reptilians. I think only monks can solve this problem. It doesn't seem right that they prefer to ignore it.

My Australian friends are here today.  My stomach felt well this morning, so I did not go to the hospital; we had a lovely breakfast, it flared up but has stabilized, but they are wanting to splot a Chateaubriand with me tonight.  That, being pretty rich, will stress test it, and so if I have any more problems then I'll go over to the hospital.  I just don't want to do it while my friends are here.

These friends are the same friends, one of whose mother died last summer shortly after he returned to Australia.  She had a heart attack while they were visiting with me, and so I helped them communicate with the hospital and get home on an earlier flight.  It was an evil situation, because the doctors didn't aggressicely treat it but simply deemed her to be dying, and refused to allow the family to transfer her to a private hospital.

We first met at the Greek St. Anthony's monastery in 2015.

So, memory eternal for Athanassios's mother Maria, also, please.

God bless all of you and thank you for your prayers, my brothers.
