Many congratulations and good wishes for you and your wife and your family, Robert W. The new little lady is quite adorable. (And they all look so peaceful when they're asleep, don't they? )

I am blessed with 7 in total, 5 biological and 2 step-children Age-wise, there are 3 groupings, but thankfully they are all absolutely oblivious to the reality that they are sufficiently spread in age (and, in some cases, geography) that they could choose to ignore their sibs, step-sibs, and half-sibs without anyone thinking it much out-of-the-ordinary. To my everlasting joy, they're remarkably tight-knit, close, and loving of one another (which is not to say that each doesn't have moments and even days when he/she probably wishes to have been an only child). - the 3 eldest are adults (usually), aged 32, 29, and 26 - one boy, flanked by a "big" sister and a "little" sister - my stepchildren are teens, a boy 16, who has thankfully moved beyond the sulking teenager stage and emerged as a most likeable young man, and a lovely girl of 14, who has entered into her own stage this past year - may it be short-lived - the "little ones" - most especially beloved of and spoiled outrageously by the other 5 - are 7 (he'll be 8 in about 3 weeks) and the littlest princess - chronologically 5, but she'll be about 47 any day now At the moment, I'm also blessed by the presence of my favorite nephew (and the kids' favorite cousin), hmm - 30 yrs old - who is in the US doing a "junior year abroad" (my sister's family live in Ireland) and spends most weekends either here or with Timm, my eldest son. Many years, Neil, who - needless to say - selected "many"

Thank you for your kind words. Let's hope that the saying "Cursed is the man with beautiful daughters" is not true sigh, better get a shotgun soon. A friend of mine has three beautiful daughters. The middle one is 4 and my little boy seems to like her quite a bit. The oldest is 7 and already getting checked out by the boys. My friend, of course, is already worried.

You are so cruel OrthodoxFairyQueen. Why do you have twist the knife? Do mind that I am entertaining the idea that both my daughters will become nuns.

I answered 0 when this poll first started, but now I have to amend my answer to "1." Maybe I'll remember to post the ultrasound at some later date.

Yes, please do! And be forewarned, sometimes those ultrasound pics aren't as cute as you'd hope. We had a 3D ultrasound of Miss Cait at 20 weeks and she looked like a little alien baby.

A lovely baby! She's so alert and with lots of hair it looks like.
Remember! Mother sleeps when she sleeps. It's Important. Trust me on this.
I hope that everyone is doing very well, indeed.

That is SO wonderful! Congratulations. My 6th was a boy too. I was so thankful that God granted me a another son because by #6 I was so tired of the neighborhood girl drama. I'd take rambunctious boys over girl drama anyday.

It will certainly be different with a boy again...we haven't had a little boy for 9 years!
