Evangelism in the Oriental Orthodox Church
« on: March 22, 2017, 09:28:01 PM »
Hi :)

I'd like to know about evangelism in the OO Churches (particularly the Ethiopian Orthodox Church).
How is 'evangelism' defined in the OO Church, what are the tasks it consists of and how much is it emphasised?

Thank you

Hi orthodoxlearner.  That's a rather broad question.  In a nutshell, I would say that evangelism in our Church is about living our lives in the Faith and Mysteries of Orthodoxy, allowing God to transform us through our relationship with Him - in and through the Church He established for this purpose - and faithfully transmitting the Faith and practice of our Church to others.  Are you familiar with the Ethiopian Orthodox mission in the West Indies, North America, and the UK?
I'm with the camp of 13 million Americans that believe politicians are, or are controlled by, Reptilians. I think only monks can solve this problem. It doesn't seem right that they prefer to ignore it.
