At www.saintjohnwonderworker.org they are asking that as many people as possible pray the Akathist to the Mother of God, the Healer of Cancer for little Mary Evelyn who has Stage 4 Cancer. The text of the Akathist is provided at the website. Please pray for her!

Truly, what a Champion we have in our Most Holy Theotokos, and what great protection she is for the faithful.  The prayers of the Akathist for the little handmaid of God, Mary Evelyn, seems to be helping.  Also, they have placed a relic of the Blessed Virgin on her.  There is an online diary at the site which Sabbas had first posted, http://www.saintjohnwonderworker.org , and her parents, Rob and Edna, say that, as of October the 8th, 2005,  the cancer cells found in her urine are almost down to normal levels.  Let's continue to pray the Akathist of the Blessed Virgin, and continue to pray for St. John's (and all the saints') intercessions for her.   

Truly, what is impossible for man is possible with God.  Glory to God for all things.

After viewing the website showing the photo of the girl, my heart is filled with saddness for the girl, yet I am filled with hope as she is surrouned by loved ones praying for her health.  May God be with her and in all his glory have mercy on her.
