This is for the most part a newsflash, although I do also hope to get input from members of this forum.
Last Thursday I moved into Franciscan University of Steubenvile. I am Latin Rite Catholic, although I am not sure if I will remain that for much longer. Things are going somewhat rough around here, since I am introverted and spiritually different (or at least it seems that way) from most people, although I expect that things will become better once I start making friends.
Yesterday morning I went with a group of University students to a Divine Liturgy at the local Ruthenian Catholic Church. I absolutely loved the Divine Liturgy, and even if I do not become Orthodox, I will definitely see if I can change my rite to Ruthenian Catholic in about a year or two.
I have not yet decided on Orthodoxy. Being here only a few days, I have not had the opportunity to visit the Orthodox Churches in the area. While I find my heart being drawn to Eastern Christianity, I am not yet sure if Eastern Orthodoxy is the Way. God has not yet spoken to my heart on this matter. So, if you could, please pray for my discernment. If I do become Orthodox, I think it will only be after studying here, when I have a firm understanding of Western theology and its relation to Eastern theology, and only afer much thought and prayer. I appreciate your prayers and hope that everyone is doing well

I will try to check this thread as often as I can, but as my room is not yet hooked up to the internet, I can only check this thread so often as I come to the library computer lab.
