Can I "follow" a discussion?
« on: July 11, 2016, 02:47:19 PM »
Can I subscribe to a particular topic? Or what about tags? Does OC.net use tags?

Thanks OC.net

You can post (something meaningful) in it, so it shows on your 'new replies' list.

Or what about tags? Does OC.net use tags?

They're part of the software, but nobody seems to bother using them.

The only way I'm aware of, to follow a thread, is to reply.
Now, if I just knew how to un-follow a thread, that would be lovely.
I have always found the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom to be so much more moving in the original Ukrainian.

Not possible, unfortunately.

But are they (finally) working?

How?

I haven't tried. The old ones didn't transfer over the upgrade, that's for sure.

I tried and no..

I would take it to be related to the 'notice issue for PM's'  ie its the mail server....not the forum software

Il guessing if you hit notify at the bottom, it might work.

That's exactly how it works. And if you go to your Profile > Summary > Modify Profile (a bit hard to see, a little tab at the top) > Notifications you'll be presented with a list of your Notified threads to Unnotify (that's really what it's called).

Honestly?
I have no idea, because I personally find notifications annoying, just was making a guess.

I have had 'Notify' selected on this thread since post 2....and have gotten 0 notifications.

http://www.orthodoxchristianity.net/forum/index.php/topic,66430.new.html

shows this happened after the upgrade.

indicates an email server needs to be configured...and i see no 'evidence' of it being configured.....no notification of a new PM occurs either (even ones where its a mod warning do not happen)
