Please pray for our family friend Joe Gatti. Few days ago, he felt ill and so he was rushed to the hospital and then was rushed from there to another one (St. Michaels) downtown by plane. And now he is hooked on 2 machines which are helping him breath and keeping his heart pumping.
Please pray for him. He is not ready to die yet. He is still so young and also unchurched which I worry for him. And he is not Orthodox, he is Tridentine Catholic so I am not sure how much we are "allowed" to pray for un orthodox...although I don't believe in this rule.

The 'rule' against praying for the heterodox only applies to public prayer for those under sentence of Anathema.

I thank you all so much for your prayers and intentions. I will continue to pray for him and I will visit him in the hosptial soon. I want to give his wife some holy oil that I got from the lamp of St. John Maximovitch in San Francisco last August when I went on pilgirmage with some Greek nuns from the "Zodohos Pigi" "Life-Giving Spring Monastery" in Fresno and friends.
I am not sure how they will react...I think (Tridentine) Catholics have holy oil too...

My prayers for your friend. Many miracles have happened through the prayers of St. John Maximovitch, my godchild was given 6 mths to live and I gave her oil from the lamp at his tomb...that was a year before he was glorified. Praise God, she is still going strong. Through the prayers of our holy hierarch, John , may God have mercy and give Joseph healing. St. John's intercessions has led to the healing of many non-Orthodox.

Well today after the visit at the hosptial, I realized how bad the situation really is. Apparently he has a blood disorder where the white blood cells don't reproduce (its a 1 in a million chance) and he has been in a coma since Monday. Can you bellieve it, the hosptial refused him entry that they had no beds for four days and that the longest he would live without proper care would be two hours and on top of that, his wife was told to do two hours of paperwork!! So by the time she would do all that eh would be gone. Thank God, she is a smart lawyer and got ppl on the phone to get her husband a bed at the hospital.
I pray he coems out of his coma,
