Or is this subject to the  "Economia" of the Bishop. :(  Not that I'm miserable being Separated!
Just asking.....because I prefer thinking about Orthodoxy featuring possibilities for others that go all the way through with divorce, instead of strictly limitations.

Ok - that is my Valentine's post/question for this year.
Other than one confession: I saw a Coptic film on the thriving monasteries in Egypt.
There's one monk in it welcoming pilgrims that made my knees a bit shaky ::)
But if we visited there and experience the same thing, it would be a bit absurd.... :P
Monks are supposed to be even sweeter and nicer as the years pass.

Why do posters that claim to have me blocked keep sending me pms and responding to my posts? That makes no sense.

You would need to ask a Coptic priest.  See your PM.
Axios and many years to you, Fr. Trenham!

So what is the reason an Orthodox monastic wannabe is concerned about Coptic divorce regulations and how she would be treated by them?

As a former mod you know this section is not for polemics.

Be nice.

Exactly. Simple questions with an inquiring spirit aren't exactly subject material for making tabloids.

In this section such question is polemical.

Mike,

As you know, our rules don't require everyone to call all Churches "Orthodox."  Thus, a person here can call his own Church "Orthodox" while calling other Churches other things, as long as they are polite.  Your question in reply #1 therefore did not technically violate the rules.

However, your "monastic wannabe" comment in reply # 4 is rude, and together with the question in reply #1 makes me wonder if you are trying to troll.

Cut it out.
