Nothing in Common Between Christians and Muslims
« on: February 11, 2016, 07:54:34 AM »
Excellent article by a  Chaldean Catholic Diocese regarding this fallacious notion of the commonalities between Islam and Christianity in order to gear up the attempted  Western/European acceptance and legitimacy of this aggresseive religious worldview. Looks like Eastern Catholics like Chaldeans and Assyrians wil have to take the forefront and lead the resistance against the Islamic invasion in the West, particulary Europe right now since Western Catholics have been  muzzled or brainwashed to believe that we basically "believe in the same thing" as Islam. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Nothing in Common Between Christians and Muslims

Islam, in the West, is fighting its battle of acceptance and legitimacy. Muslims activists are working fervently trying to improve Islam’s image. Their goal is to create an environment in which Islam can be easily propagated. Their tool is as old as Islam itself, but they have just rediscovered it. This tool is telling Christians that Islam and Christianity have a lot in common.

They cite Islam’s belief in the Bible, God, Jesus, Mary, the Prophets, the Day of Judgment and Paradise.

This tactic is not new to Islam. Fourteen centuries ago, Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, used it when he started preaching his new religion in Mecca. At the beginning when Mohammed was weak, he was conciliatory and appeasing to Christians. He told them, “We believe in what has been sent down to us (the Quran), and sent down to you (The Bible).

Our God is the same as your God.” Surah 29:45. Later, in Medina, after Mohammed became strong, all this changed. Allah, allegedly, tells him then, “Fight the people of the book (Christians and Jews) who do not accept the religion of the truth (Islam) until they pay tribute by hand, being inferior.” Surah 9:29.

The fact is that the differences between Christianity and Islam are very deep, and irreconcilable. The space limitation will enable us to list just a few.

Key points from the article stipulating common misconceptions concerning our " similarities." bewteen Christianity and Islam;

*Our God is not their Allah

*Our Jesus is not their Isa

*Our Holy Spirit is not their Angel Gabriel

*Our Ethics are not their Sharia

*Our Heaven is not their Paradise

OC.NET is full of temptations, but in temptations we are enforced, remember about the thread "Temptation in the Desert: Rachel Weisz and the Undoing of Mor Ephrem". OC.NET helps in becoming unpassionate.

This was an interesting read.
All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too
Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl

The language on that cite is....almost rhetorical or can be used in such a way.
Odd that the best Orthodoxy has to offer is 'how to live' under Islamic rule, as was practiced poorly, or successfully, in the Ottoman Empire.
The posted article below, by Sam, really gives a great background for thought though.
