Going to monastery
« on: February 01, 2016, 10:02:15 AM »
Starting from Tuesday, just for one week.

To get calm and being cut from any conctacts, to think about certain spiritual issues in my life: conflict my priest, calendar change at my parish, my engangement into church things and some other, deeper, matters; plus (lack of) my personal life and reasons (mainly spiritual ones, what's God's Will) of such situation etc.

So I ask you for prayers that this time spent in the monastery may be really beneficial. And that I'm able to manage to spend a few days living in such way.
Pray for persecuted Christians, especially in Serbian Kosovo and Raška, Egypt and Syria

AFAIK it's now only available in Belarusian online. I've even posted a link to that film on this forum. Not exatly sure how you would understand Belarusian.

Nevertheless, it's a good area. Say hello to hierodeacon (IIIRC) James Sosniuk from Saki when you go there. Saki monastery is like 3 km from where you go.

Is this necessary, can you deal in other way with your condition?

Let all be with God's help.

That's an idea halfly of my priest and halfly mine.

I've never been to a monastery more than 1 day, and as annual things such as certain fasting periods, foot pilgrimage, being abroad etc. haven't helped, we've decided to try something new, hoping it will help. That's not the only reason, but it would take too much words and time to explain, and maybe it's not good to write everything publicly.

I'm back, thank everybody for the prayers! :)

It's been a great time, I hope that "coming back" to the reality and "collision" with it won't be too much painful.

I hope it was beneficial for you.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.
