My chrismation
« on: January 18, 2016, 02:50:52 PM »
Lord willing, I will be received into the Church at the end of February. I'm counting the weeks!!!

Please keep me in your prayers. I have many long-time friends who are Protestant that I will be speaking to over the next few weeks and I am in need of wisdom as to how to share with them my journey to Orthodoxy. Thanks!!

Lord have mercy.

Congratulations. Make sure to share pics with us!
It's common knowledge that you secretly want to be born in early 17th century Russia.  As a serf or a royal, I know not.  Chances are serf.

By the way, have you chosen a saint?

Lord have mercy!
Pray for persecuted Christians, especially in Serbian Kosovo and Raška, Egypt and Syria

Congratulations!

Regarding your request for ideas on how to share, I think the best thing to do is to be an example for them; pray when it is needful (even if you just cross yourself) and give thanks to the Lord for anything (good or bad). The questions will come, and the answers need not be complicated.

I remember when I was a Catechumen that I looked forward to the day that I could take the Eucharist and was really glad when the day of Chrsmation came.  Congratulations!
