Christ, Our God, To Earth Descendeth...

St. Mary and St. Moses Abbey has been completed and His Holiness Baba Abba Shenouda III is coming to Corpus Christi to preside over the opening ceremonies.  This is so exciting.  I am going to try to go and see him.

Oy -- a bit too far for me to drive, though I would dearly like to see him again. I saw him the last time he was in Texas, at the consecration of St. Mary and Archangel Michael here in Houston.

IC XC NIKA
He came to my church about 2 years ago.  He dipped out before I could kiss his hand (and I STILL HAVEN'T FORGIVEN HIM WUHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA; actually, I did).
in Christ,
shawn
p.s.  Setfree, he's actually very funny.  He's this short little fellow, with this really deep voice; and a really high pitched laugh (his laugh made me laugh more than his jokes; since I had to wait for the translation).

I am going to drag my brother to go see him.  Corpus Christi is about two hours away.  His Grace Anba Youssef (my diocesan bishop) will also be there.  I would love the chance to talk to His Grace in person, even for a second.  He has, through e-mail, been such a help to me.

I'm glad to hear that H.H. Pope Shenouda is well enough to travel.  I had heard he was quite ill.  Has anyone heard an update?

Prayers please.
