New baby freak out
« on: September 14, 2015, 04:28:57 PM »
So my wife gave birth to an amazingly beautiful baby boy yesterday. His name is Christos Scott. I think he is amazing but I'm freaking out a bit. Nothing terrible or anything just mildly freaking out in my head. Is this normal?
Forgive me if I misspell something, I am dyslexic and it greatly effects my spelling.

Yes.  Congratulations!
Mor Ephrem is a nice guy.  Just say sorry and it will all be ok. Say I had things that were inside troubling me but I didn't know how to express appropriately. I will not behave that way again but I am seeking help.

God grant you all many years.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai

Yes. Welcome to the rest of your life! :)

Yes, it's normal.  Nothing can really prepare you for being a good parent.  You have to work at it (I'm assuming this is your first).  I never thought I would have kids or even like kids; I'm so glad I was wrong.

Congratulations.

Congrats! It would be abnormal if you weren't freaking out. It is a whole new chapter of your life!  :)

My only weakness is, well, never mind

He said he had a horrible house
I looked in it and learnt to shut my mouth

Come back my dream into my arms, into my arms

All is normal and well and it is good.
Congratulations.
Lots of old man advice: let your wife sleep. Maybe for a year or two.
you may have known something, but now your learning truly begins
don't be surprised if you can no longer talk to people without children.  They know nothing.

That is all, but maybe more later.
Many years to all your family. Best thing you ever did!

Yes 100% normal to freak out.

Just be a supporting husband, PRAY you will need the help !

I equate child #1 as being hit by a freight train the change is MASSIVE.

Ignore the advise (crap) most people tell you, as your wife's intuition will almost always be right.
