1910 AD - ~35% of people in the world are Christians

And after a century of television, radio, airplanes, assembly line factories, xerox machines, internets, etc. (all of which gives richer western nations--ie. heavily Christian areas--a huge technology and resource advantage when carrying out missionary work)...

2010 AD - ~32% of people in the world are Christians

Clearly we're doomed.

I am too lazy (I am going to bed in 5 minutes) to put my critical thinking beret on. But my guess is that this number you are disconcerted about stems primarily from  dates 1910 to 1920. The genocide of the Armenians and Greeks in Turkey. World
War I (with 4->10% loss in the population of France, Germany, and Serbia (especially). World War II which I am not going to look up the facts because it should be clear to you.

This thread seems to be veering in a totally different direction :police: :police:.  If it continues, I might end up splitting the conversation.  Just an FYI for y'all.

Please do.

So it's been a year since I posted this thread about a Ministry section. Judging by the votes it was well received. What say the mods? Time to move forward?

We are actually a lot closer to this than you think.  We have just nominated & accepted several new moderators, thus giving us a much needed boost in the moderator pool.

When that is all finished up, I plan on taking this up with the rest of the moderators, as I had originally promised in the beginning.

If you remember, I said we need to solve the lack of moderators on the forum issue FIRST, and then we can think about expanding.

At some point amid these operations there could be one to solve the lack of serious posters on OC.net ...

We could go recruiting at that other forum but I think everyone there died of boredom

I did not get this joke. ???

(mostly I just wanted to do a totally-non-resurrectional bump of the thread though)

Hey you all, just wanted to let you all know this is still on my radar.  We are working on some other projects as a team, however. So we might not get to this until well after the new year.

HAHAHAHAHA  Dude I love you.  You have no idea how much this whole process has meant to me.

I'll check in where things are at with the Mods.

Obvious next step is finding a moderator for the section.

Presumably signing in to the forum on a regular basis wouldn't be a requirement :P  ;)
