Dear Friends,

St. Helena's Orthodox Retreat Camp is offering a late-summer full-weekend retreat:

"The Eucharist -- The Way to A Deeper Faith"center]

Friday evening through Sunday afternoon,
August 19 through August 21, 2005

Fr. James F. G. Colburn, B.A., M.A.
Orthodox priest, lecturer on the Liturgy
and pastor of St. Helena's Orthodox Mission will serve as retreat-master

Program:
Have you reached a plateau in your faith-life? It may be time to reconnect more deeply with Jesus in the Eucharist.ÂÂ

Our love for Jesus and the fullness of life that comes from Jesus, begins and ends in the Eucharist. It is Jesus who says,
"I am the living bread that came down from heaven. The one who eats this bread will live forever." What does this mean? How can I access more fully this mystery which gives joy and meaning to my life as an Orthodox person? Come learn why a life re-dedicated to Jesus in the Eucharist can dissolve obstacles to spiritual growth, and renew you and your family's prayer life. Divine LIturgy will be celebrated Sunday at 10:30am.

St. Helena's Camp has 22 acres of wilderness for quiet, solitude and meditation. Overnight capacity for 30 persons. Multiple-bed guest rooms. Registration is on a first-come basis. Those interested are encouraged to register early..

Arrival is Friday night; departure is Sunday afternoon. For this retreat-experience, the Camp suggests a donation of $120. The offering will cover all expenses: the three-day program / overnight accommodations / all meals. Semi-private and private room rates slightly higher. Please call the Camp Adminstrator (Deacon Robert) at: (661) 270-0129.

St. Helena's Camp is one hour and 55 miles North of Los Angeles in the Sierra Pelona Mountains, between Santa Clarita and Palmdale (off of the 14 - Antelope Valley Freeway).
