cousin diagnosed with cancer
« on: July 18, 2015, 07:28:30 AM »
My cousin just announced that's she been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer - it began in her stomach and spread to her lymph nodes. Please pray for her recovery.
It's common knowledge that you secretly want to be born in early 17th century Russia.  As a serf or a royal, I know not.  Chances are serf.

Lord have mercy and visit and heal your suffering servant.

Lord have mercy. St. Luke and St. Pantaleimon, pray for us.

Lord, have mercy!
Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.

Lord, have mercy!

kelly, did you know that you can have your cousin's name commemorated at a moleben to St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco served at the Cathedral in San Francisco even if she isn't Orthodox?

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too
Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl

Lord have mercy
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai

Lord, have mercy on your handmaiden.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
