What's the church's view on Artificial birth control... the pill... condoms... IUD ... diaphram?

Of course the church is against abortion, what about artificial insemination?

You will find some variation on the use of artificial BC. If the priest condones it's use it should be used by married couples only and for grave reason.

I also reccommend reading the books

Love, Marriage and Sexuality by John Chryssavgis.
The Art of Natural Family Planning John and Shiela Kippley
Taking Charge of your Fertillity-Toni Weschler

You should make a sticky thread at the top entitled "READ THIS OR DIE!!!11" that has the answers and links to the most commonly asked questions and started threads on here.

Good idea Beayf...
Perhaps you shouldn't make the title so harsh though...maybe "Topics that have been hashed & rehashed..."
Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

The answer to your question about contraception is: ask your priest. He is the only one (beside your bishop) who can answer that type of question for you. The Orthodox Church handles this issue on a case by case basis, and your own case is really none of my business.

Meh. If it doesn't have a harsh title, nobody'll read it.
