Sending a video of a baptism?
« on: June 20, 2015, 08:45:42 PM »
Do you guys think there is anything wrong with sending a video of a baby's baptism to a friend (who goes to the parish but is currently away for the summer). It's not going to be uploaded for the public or anything (I just like to let my friend know how the parish is doing).

Its just that an incredible thing is happening, a baptism, such a holy thing, but I feel as if I'm doing something wrong by sending a video of something so holy. What do you guys think?

I think you're OK taking and sending the video, though I commend your sense of reverence.

BTW, make sure it's OK with the rector for you to take video in the church.

i would also say...

be sure its ok with the parents of the infant.

Some parents don't want their children's images send out of their control or on the internet at all. Even if it is sent with the purest of intentions....check with them first that its ok.

All opinions expressed by myself are quite tragically my own, and not those of any other poster or wall hangings.

^This.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.
