Can I ask what jurisdiction you are a part of? Different groups have different qualifications. Some groups require you to have a certain degree from an Orthodox seminary to be a priest. With other groups, like ROCOR, you don't even have to go to seminary to become a priest (which is good, because their seminary teaches primarily in Russian),
if you can find a good priest who is willing to train you, and
if the bishop is ok with that setup. It differs from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. As sort of an aside, not that this is official teaching or anything, but personally I think that everyone who becomes a priest should be made to read the various texts on the priesthood written over the years, by St. Gregory the Great, St. Gregory the Theologian, St. John Chrysostom, St. Ambrose of Milan, and even more current ones like those by St. John of Kronstadt and Fr.
