Same country as what?

What does that have to do with anything?

Father Anthony Sakey

During the war years, 1941 to 1945, Father Anthony Sakey of Boston served as pastor of St. Mary’s. He was active in the community and was able and dedicated. His family was well-liked and his sons received high honors in the military. During the Second World War more that 100 of the youth of St. Mary’s saw service in the war zones. Sadly, several were to lose their lives in the service of their country: Leo Neddoff, William Hannye, James Broody, Michael Ferris, Michael J. Solomon, Albert Jabore, John Malta. In their honor, the young women of the church organized a Victory Club, which sent packages to our service men, and which earned funds to erect a large granite monument in their honor in the front portion of the cemetery, where annually the parish gathers each Memorial Day to pray for them and all the reposed of the parish.

Wriggle it on a canvas, call it postmodern visual poetry and sell it to a modern art museum for a couple million dollar.

Another WPM poem:

Its supposed to be for your personal entertainment.
Something major going on in my head.
Must be the classical God vs Satan scheme.
What is Satanism and Devil Worship?
The interplay been light and dark. (Could be the Buddhist understanding of good and evil) ...
I would be amused to see an Oriental or Coptic Orthodox walking by.
It doesn't necessarily deduct that Europeans are "Coptic" ...

I can dig this game.

I use and utilize unorthodox methods sometimes,
Where prayer is much more mechanical and actually resolves problems.
Why didn't the rich man do anything about Lazarus's condition? ...
He appears to be going through a certain process on the journey.
Nowadays, the ramifications and punishments for heresy are a lot less severe-
Perhaps they are being used somewhere else.
I'm sure its the place to go to ... in a particular landscape.
Do you want to meet here at 3 'o' clock and say the Compline prayers of the Afternoon time?
I don't know, I would have to do research on WWII.
...
Well, if you had a knack for comedy it would actually be quite funny.

Mystical fantasy wife?
Soundwaves from speakers-
Circular repetition of the same thing over and over.
Stop thinking in a circular manner.
The imaginary dude?
Is the Knower of things not visible to the eye?

Is that why you become a monk?
Its alot like Hollywood's notion of finding Mr. Right.
Its taking helluva long time to get there.

Most folks who haven't studied the history of the Civil War aren't aware that the Confederacy was a 'mixed race' affair.

Meet Native American Chief and Confederate Army General Stand Watie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stand_Watie

The Confederates also were kindly disposed towards Mexicans: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Placito

There were also African-Americans who served in the Confederate Army, though in relatively small numbers.  Some of them were murdered after their surrender by outraged Union soldiers.

Ya'll ain't Americans and not even in America.

Well my family has been here since 1728.  Would love to see you expound on this topic and give your educated opinion on what constitutes the claim of membership to a specific society.  Or even perhaps a diatribe on the non-existence of a truly American culture due to its tendency to simply assimilate other cultures and whether this enhances America or merely cheapens that from which it takes.  Heck even a short essay on American exceptionalism in the face of the tendency towards globalism.

Unfortunately it would appear you think this is Twitter and so are restricted to 140 characters (of which maybe, on a good day, 5 have any actual meaning), so I guess we will all be robbed of your true genius.

I've been considering the above and seeking other American Orthodox who ARE NOT Russian (the worst and they do not knowso) or Greek (no exposure, so are they as chauvenistic as the Russians?).
I was told there are Antiochians who are true-blue Americans and even met a Priest ( Fr. Josiah) who is. I enjoy Orthodixie for like and similar reasons, but oh, the ethnic hubris is enough to gag a maggot!
