What about both at the same time? Is using a keyboard on a mobile device a kind of double negative, thus transforming the message into something understandable? Also, don't despair because you see a sea of non-sensical messages; remember that you can drown in even a few inches of messages in the bathtub, but you haven't yet, so you must be doing something right!
