If you follow the Julian calendar, is April Fool's on the 14th?

Normally, yes, but on years when it falls within Bright Week it's moved to the first fasting day thereafter so that all frivolous laughter may be properly repented of, as was declared by the second council of Ephisutontinopillo, which is considered to be the 11th oecumenical council by some pious persons.

No, Agabus has it right.  That is exactly what my priest told me while he beat me half to death with the censer for putting a bucket of water over the Deacon's door before the First Entrance during the Liturgy last night.

Well, the cold weather just will NOT go away this spring...I remember the 'old timers' would tease that this is 'Rus'ki Marec'.... Figure it out... ;)
