Photos from the pope pontifical Liturgy presided by patriarch Tawadros in Rome:

Nice that the Pope used fake lions not to scandalise the Italian faithful with his mystical beast-taming abilities.

Only those pure in heart can see they are real lions.  Watch out!
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Brazilian Syriac clergy of Aparecida de Goiânia, Brazil, with Bishop José (Faustino). The number of deaconesses is interesting, specially considering it seems to be just one suburban parish.

The image doesnt appear.

There was a syriac parish in Brasilia area that was quite pentecostal/charismatic.

Weird, it still appears here, try clicking here: https://scontent.fsdu5-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/19223050_1463024687123504_4095546095397885366_o.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=c14c4535931bee2cbbc7a654075f5ff1&oe=5BFE815D

I'm under the impression that the SOC in Brazil is too quick on accepting new clergy, which allows for some abuse. Word on the street is that we have two bishops with overlapping jurisdiction because faithful of Syro-Lebanese background disliked the way the Church was taking here.

Still doesnt work.

Google ''padre josé ribamar sirian'' and you'll find some videos of his parish in Taguatinga - DF, it is charismatic² to the core and it is supposedly a syriac orthodox parish.

How wonderful!   This news makes me very happy; it is a tonic for the depressing situation in the Roman church and the frightening situation in the Ukraine.

What's the image on the back of the priest's robes? I can't tell if that's Jesus or the Theotokos and what are they holding up?

It's a lovely Church, btw :)

Their iconostasis is gorgeous.
And I think St. Verena, if Wikipedia is to be believed, and my eyes aren't failing.

On the back of the priest robe (actually more of epitrachelion) is an picture of St Verena. I believe she is holding up a bible in the picture. This is not a typical robe. They usually have no icon (just a background of crosses).

Incense prayer offered over the ruins of the Monastery of Mor Daniel on Mount Mar Daniel.
https://www.facebook.com/1492479857719420/videos/247888262750863/?t=0

Mount Mar Daniel (Syriac: ܛܘܪܐ ܕܡܪܝ ܕܐܢܝܠ‎), is a mountain in Nineveh plains in northern Iraq. The mountain lies 30km east of Mosul and some 5km north east of Bartella. Mount Mar Daniel was known for its religious importance in Syriac Christianity since the 4th century when it was continuously inhabited by hermits. The mountain contains a number of hermitages as well as the Mar Daniel monastery which date back to the late 4th century.
