An Armenian church. I got this from a public radio website who interviewed an Armenian professor about his garden.

Sorry for the onslaught of pictures. This is the first time back to the forums in probably a year, and saw this thread and realized I should share all the photos I've had on my computer for a long time.

This is a Coptic cross in a southwestern US style, in an OCA monastery.  :)

Beautiful photo.  Is His Holiness simply receiving a gift here, or is he blessing something?  It looks like his eyes are closed in prayer.

It looks to me like the blessing cross which is brought to a hierarch when he enters a church so that he can bless the assembled clergy and the congregation.

That's what I thought, but I didn't want to be presumptuous.  If that's indeed what it is - and the Russian Church is pretty much sending the message that in their eyes, His Holiness is an Orthodox Patriarch - I couldn't be happier.  Glory to God!  May God bring our Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches into full communion soon.

It's encouraging and hopeful to see Russia meeting with the Syriacs, and not the Syrian Orthodox, as they're already in communion with the Syrian Orthodox. May God bless this.  8)
