A (however short) holiday where I really didn't have to do any work and was able to get ahead with my reading.

Yesterday I was coming back from the Holy Mount Grabarka from the solemnities of the Transfiguration feast. By Grace of God I was able to not come by train, but by a bus of one of Warsaw Orthodox parishes. In the bus there were 3 Ethiopian Orthodox that chanted for us some mezmurs, clapping their hands and yodeling.
Pray for persecuted Christians, especially in Serbian Kosovo and Raška, Egypt and Syria

They had took part into foot pilgrimage of the Polish Orthodox army and police to the Holy Mount Grabarka:

That's awesome!
“Steel isn't strong, boy, flesh is stronger! That is strength, boy! That is power! What is steel compared to the hand that wields it?  Contemplate this on the tree of woe.” - Elder Thulsa Doom of the Mountain of Power

Mencius said, “Instruction makes use of many techniques. When I do not deign to instruct someone, that too is a form of instruction.”

Come look at my lame blog

Thank you for sharing the pictures.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Another year at Invasion. It's always fun, but today exceeded all expectations.

Short video recording featuring son of one of my best friends, being almost 6, keeping Lays and saying to me "Auntie, I love you".
That's one of greatest fruits of the new technologies: we're about 2500 km far away from each other, but we may still keep in touch :)

I would pay real money to see Captain America blow away some Daleks, deflect their weapons with his shield, and then take a damaged one, remove the lid and dump out the creepy alien and the mechanical innards , followed by a cheesy but awesome 80s takedown line like “time to take out the garbage”).

Council of Nicea:
Εθη ἀρχαῖα κρατείτω.
Mores antiqui obtineant.
The ancient ways shall prevail.

The sentiment of Nicea in Greek and Latin, translated into English.

So far, all the Caps we've had at the event over the years were kids dressed up. :) They make for some epic crossovers, too - this time there was a pair of brothers kitted out as Cap and Iron Man (as if Civil War had never happened ;D) and their mum in a pretty accurate movie Wonder Woman costume, all waiting in line to get their picture taken with Deadpool. Coexist, yo. 8)
