It just keeps getting worse and worse, doesn't it?  Arm the Christians to the teeth. Give them small arms, stealth bombers, give them helicopter gunships, train them to use everything.

Also waiting for "moderate" Muslims to condemn this.  Won't happen.

The former won't happen either, the rule of the game is to arm dictators, not to arm minorities.

I reject all that I wrote that isn't in accordance with the teachings of the Orthodox Church. Also, my posts reflect my opinions (present or former) and nothing else.

Interesting - Marcus Aurelius ( the last of the 5 good emperors ) was a leading Stoic philosopher of his age.
We should use prayer in  lieu of arming everyone.

I was watching the movie "Gladiator" last evening and in that movie Russell Crowe made a statement that actually made a lot of sense to me : "What we do in this life echoes in eternity".  And so it is - our prayers echo in eternity.

BEIRUT (AP) β€” The Islamic State militants struck before dawn, staging house-to-house raids in a cluster of villages nestled along the Khabur River in northeastern Syria. They abducted at least 70 Christians β€” many of them women and children β€” while thousands of others fled to safer areas.

The militants struck near the town of Tal Tamr in Hassakeh province, an area predominated by Assyrian Christians. Most of the captives came from Tal Shamiram and some from Tal Hurmiz.
