Jesus is a dog person.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Kitten becomes so playful after his eyes are treated (warning: beginning is distressing)

Doesn’t seem to be by choice now does it?  ;)

Psalm 22:16; Psalm 22:20 ?   (It is, after all, an illustration from a psalter.)

We have the cats's food bowls in the corner of the living room by the fireplace. When we're sitting on the couch and she's eating, she takes a few kibbles in her mouth and brings them into the middle of the room, drops them on the floor and eats them in front of us.

I don't get why.

It's like she's trying to share but then remembers she's also hungry.  ;D

I think I might adopt a kitty now that I have a beautiful house in a safe neighborhood.  A siamese cat probably like my beloved Clatipor, although Clatipor, with his lumbering gait,  his muscular 22lb body, which when he got sick at the end of his life became emaciated and dropped to 10-12lbs, and his 15”tail tail, was unique and irreplaceable.

I love this.  I like to pray my Clatipor and some other cats who have been dear to me are in such a place.

For a few months my sister lives in a cottage by a lake and over 4 o5 yeras the same two kitties come to ehr, even sometimes sleep at home, are hugged etc. They're, i'd say, semi-wild. But each is so different, Rózia (the first one) is like-cat aristocracy, while the second one (Stefan) is daredevil.

So glad this thread popped up in my "unread posts since last visit" link! We're preparing to bid farewell to our sweet 13-year-old cat, Princess, within the next few days (cancer, :'( ).

Here is a YouTube video I made several years ago of her enjoying some tapioca pudding -- I'm happy to say she's still enjoying it today (as well as vanilla yogurt), in spite of her illness. :-)

Thank you! Yes, she does ... or did ... tomorrow (Monday) will be her final day. We're anticipating lots of water damage in the household due to overflowing tear ducts.  :'(

Oh, my, I'm so sorry -- with four cats you must need a lot of buckets!

Anyway, Princess is now gone. We stayed with her through the whole process, which was very hard to do, but she deserved that, I think. Sniff ...  :'(

The Most Valuable Thing in the World

Sozan, a Chinese Zen master, was asked by a student: "What is the most valuable thing in the world?"

The master replied: "The head of a dead cat."

"Why is the head of a dead cat the most valuable thing in the world?" inquired the student.

Sozan replied: "Because no one can name its price."
