I will be in the process of upgrading the site and migrating the old database this week...hence you may discover that the site is slow/not working at moments. Please bear with me and I hope to have everything working and the upgrades in place by the weekend.

Good Evening!!! This evening I performed the first of 3 upgrades to OrthodoxChristianity.net. Due to a rewriting of the Instant Message system to support internal encryption, your IM boxes are cleaned out. However, if you send me an email at bob@orthodoxchristianity.net with the subject of IM Restore, I will gladly email your old ones back to you. Some features in addition are not working up to par, and some are still being worked on. I should have this fixed by Friday. My apologies for the "work in progress." Please bear with me, and as always report any bugs or errors in this thread so I can fix them. Thanks for all your support! Robert |

Foriegn language threads are stuffed. The forum titles are displaying properly in unicode but the threads themselves (Spanish and Russian) are not Καλή δοÃÂÂ…λιά <--- oddly enough this bit of Greek displays OK  John |

My apologies. When I converted the database over, the UTF-8 encoding got messed up. Hence, you are able to post/view unicode posts from teh present onward, but the ones from the past are not properly formatted. I added it to my 'todo' list but it may be a few days before I can get around to writing a converter to convert them back to their corresponding charset whether it be cyrillic or greek.
