My cell phone has taken to automatically shutting itself off (and sometimes not being able to turn on unless it's hooked up to the charger) lately, even though the battery is fully charged.   Huh

Besides it maybe being a bad battery that needs replacing, you might want to try this: While the phone is on, try pulling your battery out for 5 minutes which will be like a hard reboot for the system called power cycling. Sometimes this fixes cell phone glitches.

Do THIS::

Get a PENCIL ERASER

Take the battery off your phone. Find the gold contacts on the phone and on the battery.  Lightly 'erase' the contacts on the phone and on the battery.  Sometimes excess carbon builds up on the contacts and needs to be removed.  It's all about surface area!
