Prayers for a contentious soul
« on: July 18, 2014, 08:03:57 PM »
Describing myself of course, as my record on this forum demonstrates.

It's getting out of hand here at home with my contentious cynicism. Prayers requested.

I pray that Christ may grant me a humble and contrite soul. Lord have mercy.

Lord, have mercy.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Lord, have mercy on your child.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

Lord have mercy.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai
