In the name of the Father...

*gurgle gurgle gurgle*

And the Son...

*gurgle gurgle gurgle*

And the Holy Spirit...

*gurgle gurgle gurgle*

Amen.

Ah... another woman led to Christ.

You sound like a professional who knows what he's talking about.  That's because you are.

"This is the one from the beginning, who seemed to be new, yet was found to be ancient and always young, being born in the hearts of the saints."

These words are soooo true . . .thanks for posting, Maria!

(But not the best photo the folks @ godoverporn could have used to get their point across, ya know?  I learned several maneuvers in a self-defense class I took to get out of a similar kind of hold.)

Yes, I remember those maneuvers. Most can be quite painful and very surprising to the male.

Do you remember the Grab, Twist, and Pull: GTP maneuver?
It can render a male unconscious within seconds.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Yes . . . we must have taken similar courses.  I was scared to death to complete my final simulation, but it's amazing what you can do to get out of a potentially dangerous situation.

They have acronyms for such things?  LOL

I don't know if it would render someone unconscious, but it would definitely make them readjust their priorities.  :o

If one wants to confess a pure doctrine of Orthodoxy, they should be careful not to refer to the earth as a planet, unlike the current Pope as well as Patriarch Kirill and Patriarch Bartholomew, who regularly speak in error when they refer to our planet earth.

One of the requirements of a cleric to baptize I will look for in the future is strong arms and at least 100 babies experience.  I say this out of a personal witness...will say no more than say thank God she is still alive :P (this post reminded me of that time)

Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

Well, they encouraged us to render the male unconscious or incapacitated with the GTP and then give them a hard punch to the throat at the trachea or a hard kick to the private parts as the final measure.

A hard punch at the throat could kill, couldn't it? I have never had to use such a maneuver, and I hope I never do.

The only karate maneuvers I have had to use were when I was confronted with a huge male rottweiler, and then a few weeks later with a pitbull. In both cases, I used that wax-on, wax-off movement to make myself appear larger, and then I stared at them and shouted, Go Home. Both dogs tucked their tails in, yelped, and ran home.

I don't think it could kill, but it certainly would incapacitate. There isn't any vital organs in the throat, so unless you crushed a trachea in such a manner to block it and cause suffocation...

Well, this has certainly taken a disturbing turn.

My wife threw a shoe at my head once.  I'm pretty sure it wasn't to seduce me though.  She was pretty mad.

That is the extent of my experience with violence.

Are you talking about those long-spiked heeled shoes?

They are dangerous for the woman as well as for anyone whom she might attack with one.

I have stories to tell of women vainly walking on the dirty pier in their high heeled spiked shoes, and then regretting it as they got the heel of their shoe(s) stuck between the cracks. Then they had to take their shoes off because the heel broke, and then walk in their nylon stockings with the splinters getting in their feet. Not a pleasant experience.

Serves them right for trying to tempt men by wearing Louboutins!

Yeah but they do look nice. Given the risks, you can deduce that a woman loves you very much if she wears stilettos in your presence.

Silly bints. Everyone knows we're not supposed to walk in stilettos. Only to be chauffeured around, or carried in arms. ::)

See?  this is why I come here.  People say oc.net is a waste of time, but if I was not here, how would I know that I am faltering in my duties of asserting my domination over my wife?  I shall get on this post haste.  From now on, this will be the only approved footwear in my house.  At least, it will be until she improves her aim.

Ahem.

A reminder of the OP:

I couldn't help but notice all the various threads on the Forum currently expressly demeaning to the fairer sex.

I just wanted to remind all of you, especially the men, that God has created both genders equal.

That the Theotokos, through whom, and without whom the incarnate Lord would not have entered this world as a man, and would not have led to your possible salvation, was a woman, greatly loved by Him.

That there are countless saints of the female variety.

That your mothers, sisters, aunts and daughters are females.

That when you make a blanket statement about women "in general", an off-color joke about females, express the sluttiness, the smell, the undercarriage, the cleavage, the this, the that....that you insult every single woman ever born.

Just think about it.

Question: How did some of the angels fall?
Answer: Pride.

Question: But were they not wonderful?
Answer: Yes, but still capable of falling, not in spite of their wondrous nature, but because of it.

Question: Are human women not angelic and wondrous?
Answer: Many are, yes.

Question: Do you want these women to fall from grace?
Answer: God forbid!

Question: What can lowly, fallible, mortal males do about this?
Answer: Very much!

Question: What is an example?
Answer: Making sure the wonder never progresses to the point that there is a prideful downfall.

Question: How is this accomplished?
Answer: Boob talk.

To a thread that is several years old, and is not about angels.

You're bored.

It's important that women wear headscarves lest they cause their brethren-in-Christ to fall.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Maybe we should just issue blindfolds to boys at the door.
All opinions expressed by myself are quite tragically my own, and not those of any other poster or wall hangings.

Dormition fast is coming up, so cloth should be blue.
